Dr. Abdelilah Slaoui

Deputy Scientific Director in charge of Energy at the National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS – Paris). Coordinator of the National Research Program (PEPR) on low carbon Hydrogen.  

Dr Slaoui received his PhD on material sciences in 1984 from University of Strasbourg (France). He joined CNRS as a research fellow in 1986. His research interests include materials and processes for MOSFET and TFT’s transistors as well as for solar cells. In 1992, he joined the Oregon Graduate Institute at Beaverton, Oregon, USA as a visiting scientist, and worked jointly with Intel developing ultrashallow junctions for advanced devices. He served for 20 years as head of the photovoltaic group at PHASE, INESS and ICUBE (CNRS/Univ. Strasbourg). He participated/coordinated about 15 National, 10 European and 6 International projects on Energy in general and on photovoltaics in particular. Dr Slaoui served for two years as president of the European Material Research Society. He chaired 7 international conferences and co-organized more than 15 international symposia as well as 11 summer schools dealing with materials for energy. He has authored or co-authored more than 300 papers and 12 articles in specialized books.
