Scientific Direction of Energies at CEA

Stéphane Loubière is a member of the scientific direction of the Energy Division at CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission). While his career has been focused on various aspects of nuclear reactors physics, he now has a cross-cutting perspective on all low-carbon energies. In this capacity, Stéphane Loubière is responsible within CEA for the implementation of FACET and coordinates all French activities on the subject.

Stéphane Loubière is a graduate of Centrale Supélec and the INSTN (National Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Technology) in Atomic Engineering. He joined CEA as a neutron code developer within the Department of Reactor Studies and Applied Mathematics. Subsequently, he held several positions as project manager or hierarchical supervisor in the areas of software development, reactor operation, and reactor design.
